Waste2Wealth was started in 2023 by Dr. Elsayed Elbeshbishy, Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). The group is a brainchild of Dr. Elsayed’s collaboration with the Remote Sensing Lab, Environmental Research Lab, Hydrology Lab and his many coworkers in the Faculty, to perform cutting edge Research and provide Education on the issues of climate change in the wastewater sector.

Today, Waste2Wealth has over 20 members and has partnerships with local municipalities and cities, collaborates with top talent in the industry and is presenting at conferences globally. Our mission at Waste2Wealth is to revolutionize the approach that Engineers are taking on the waste sector in reducing greenhouse gases and fighting climate change.
